Dr. Dave from the Whiz Bang Science Show uses a green balloon to explain to North Elementary School students states of matter during a Friday morning presentation. Dr. Dave, along with Mrs. Whiz Bang, has performed more than 600 shows for schools, libraries and fairs. Formerly a plant geneticist and computer programmer, he has been doing this for more than 17 years now and likes getting children to think about science. The school used part of their environmental grant from Heritage Thermal Services to fund the program.
