Chester Veterans of Foreign War Post 6450 presented Laura McMillin and principal David Smith with the teacher of the year award for the state of West Virginia at the high school level for 2020-2021. Mrs. McMillin's peers wrote an essay describing her outstanding performance as a teacher and how she instills the importance of patriotism within her students.
