WEST POINT -- The woman who died Wednesday in a fire on Y and O Road has been identified as 55-year-old Connie Dattilio.
Coroner's investigator Wade Boley said Thursday the coroner has not yet ruled on a cause of death, but at this time no foul play is suspected. Before making a ruling, the coroner is awaiting test results sent to a laboratory.
Both the county sheriff's office and the state fire marshal's office have been involved in investigating at the scene of the fire. The cause of the fire also remains under investigation.
Dattilio and Jeffrey A. Dawson, 59, were both found dead in the bedroom area of the trailer home when West Point firefighters arrived at the fire shortly after being called at 8:33 p.m. Wednesday. The fire was in the living room and dining room areas down the hall, where firefighters were able to contain it. A dog also died in the fire, while another dog escaped and a cat was treated for smoke inhalation.
