Yard sales all around town
Wellsville will hold its village yard sales from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. People can still sign up to participate as sellers. Permits are $3 and are available now at village hall or by contacting Kari Emler-Daniels, 330-303-6394. People are asked to practice social distancing. The rain date is Aug. 8.
Lisbon cleans up Saturday
Lisbon Mayor Peter Wilson is reminding residents Saturday is the biennial community cleanup day, but the rules have changed slightly this year due to COVID-19. Aarrow Disposal will not pick up the following items this year: asbestos, batteries, computer or TV monitors, liquids, wet paint, fluorescent bulbs, tires/rims, oils, gas, acids or other tax waste, yard waste, concrete, brick, asphalt, AC units, freezers and refrigerators. Carpet and padding is allowed as long as it is cut, tied and bundled in less than 4-foot sections. All upholstered furniture, such as couches, love seats, chairs and mattresses etc, must be wrapped in plastic for the safety of the employees handling. Any furniture not wrapped will be left behind. All material must be curbside on designated roads. Items won’t be picked up from alleys or porches. Pickup will start early on Saturday, so have all material out the night before.
EL Finance Committee
East Liverpool council’s finance committee will meet at 5:45 p.m. Monday in council chambers prior to council meeting, to again consider Thompson park legislation.
