EL BOE meeting addendum
EAST LIVERPOOL -- An addendum to Monday night's city school board meeting agenda included the appointment of Jenna Page as a third grade teacher at LaCroft Elementary.
Also approved by the board was the resignation of Jeannine Hunter, LaCroft Elementary school counselor, effective Aug. 18, after eight years of service with the district.
A contract with Brad's Carpet Cleaning to clean carpets in all district buildings was approved at a cost of $16,645.67.
Wastewater treatment plant rededication
SALINEVILLE--Salineville will host a rededication of the wastewater treatment plant at 11 a.m. today. The event will begin at the village hall and then proceed to the renovated treatment plant. The public is welcome.
Seven file candidacy petitions
LISBON -- Seven individuals recently filed candidacy petitions with the county elections board to run for non-partisan office in Nov. 7 election.
They include Robert Hum, Fairfield Township trustee; Greg Shive, Center Township trustee; Peggy S. Frank, Washingtonville council; Ron Novak, East Palestine school board; Nancy Michaels, Middleton Township trustee; John S. Zehenthbauer, Hanover Township trustee; and Gary Peruchetti, Lisbon school board.
