Southern FFA Week celebration scheduled

SALINEVILLE — The Southern Local High School FFA organization has some fun festivities in place for its annual FFA Week celebration. Advisor Shelley Pirogowicz said activities include themed dress-up days with a hat day fundraiser slated to begin Monday. For $1, students may don a topper each day with proceeds to benefit the Salineville Community Food Pantry. Stamps will also be given during first period. Road closure Starting March 3, state Route 164 will close for 40 days just south of state Route 39 in the village of Salineville for a culvert replacement project. The detour is state Route 524 north to state Route 39 east, state Route 39 east to state Route 164, and reverse. The overall project completion date is July 31; however, the closure must be completed by May 22.
