SALINEVILLE – Utica Shale Academy has announced a series of upcoming events to be held at the Williams Building, 10 E. Main St. These events highlight the school’s continued commitment to career readiness and community engagement for students across the region. WLC Club meeting

The WLC Club met on March 31 at the Living Well Church with leader Mary Jarvis opening the meeting with pledge role call and then Mary Schmidt leading the group in prayer. The best loser was Connie Hissam and Barb Tranter wore the Officer ribbon. Tranter was recognized for not gaining any weight for six weeks and received two weeks dues paid and a tea towel. The dimes will be carried over and Tranter won the 50/50 drawing. The nono is potato chips. It was discussed that the club may do a tea party or a white elephant sale; more info will come later. Tops 1341 met at the Glenmoor Presbyterian church on Monday, March 30, with Mary Gailey, facilitator, presiding. Marlene Reynolds was the best loser and Darlene Naukem was the runner up. They chose cookies and ice cream as the junk foods for the coming week. The drawing winners were: 50/50 Cassie Ensinger, food chart Naukem, weight loss Reynolds, junk food Dorothy Garn.
