Kent State East Liverpool observing Veterans Day with presentation by historian

Kent State University at East Liverpool will observe Veterans Day with a presentation by historian and history instructor Stephen Papalas at noon, Nov. 10, in the Academic Learning Commons area of Purinton Hall. The public is invited to this free lecture, especially veterans and families of veterans.
His presentation is titled "Our Heroes - Then and Now."
Papalas has been an adjunct history instructor on the East Liverpool Campus for more than 30 years. He earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees in history from Youngstown State University and taught high school history for 32 years. He also served as a member of the Niles city council for 40 years.
As a faculty member at Kent State East Liverpool, Papalas has presented numerous public lectures on topics such as World War One and the American homefront; Benjamin Franklin; and the Holocaust.
