Tops 1341
Tops 1341 met at the Glenmoor Presbyterian Church on Monday, Oct. 5, with Mary Gailey, facilitator, presiding. Marlene Reynolds was the best loser and Gailey and Lydia Kraft were the runners up. They chose ice cream and cake as the junk foods for the next week.
The drawing winners were: 50/50, Dena White; food chart, Dorothy Garn; weight loss, Kraft; and junk food, Reynolds.
Garn was 8 weeks in attendance. Gaily lost three weeks in a row. Gailey and Kraft were three times in the best losers book. Cathy Wollam now holds the travel box.
The monthly winners were: Best losers, Patty Gruszecki; runner up, Reynolds; exercise winner, Gailey; and food charts, Reynolds.
The secretary's report was approved as written. Wollam, treasurer, gave the monthly report and it was filed for audit.
The meeting opened with pledges and closed with prayer concerns and The Lord's Prayer.

WLC Club
The WLC Club had a tea party that was organized by Betty Pease and Donna Lee. There were three tables and they were all decorated differently. Table number three won and the members in that team were Loralie Sheppard, Barb Q, Donna Lee, Mary Jarvis and Barb Tranter. They will each receive a prize. There was a prize for the best decorated wooden tea pot and that was won by Nancy Hart. The next contest was for the prettiest hat won by Barb Q and the most original was won by Donna Lee.
All members enjoyed their tea and snacks.
Jarvis closed the meeting wishing all a good week.
Choose To Lose Group
Choose To Lose Group met at Boyce Church Sept. 29 with leader Penny Perorazio presiding. The meeting opened up with the pledge of allegiance followed by the CTLG roll call.
Pam Fouse gave the secretary's report and Cassie Stephens gave the treasurer's report. Both were approved as read.
Margo Arnold and Fouse were tied for the biggest loser.
Carolyn Hager had three weeks weight loss. Monthly Biggest Loser are Hager and Arnold.
The no no's are pizza and chips.
Arnold won the food journals, Perorazio won the dimes, and Hager won the Share The Blessing.
Arnold, Hager, Perorazio, Jean Ferrebee, JoAnn Beresford, Stephens and Fouse lost weight and got to Put A Turtle In The Tank.
Winners of the No Fibbing Contest are Arnold and Perorazio.

Old-Fashioned Christmas in the Woods: A Christmas Tradition That Keeps Growing
Old-Fashioned Christmas in the Woods celebrates its 32nd year at Shaker Woods in Columbiana, welcoming visitors from across the country. More than 230 quality craftspeople and artisans will gather Oct. 10-11 and 17-18.
Plenty of craftspeople are returning for the Christmas show. Traditional crafters include candle makers, leatherworkers, woodworkers and doll makers. Hand-thrown pottery and iron and stone work will also be available. Holiday craft items, decorations and handcrafted Christmas ornaments are featured at the festival, as well as holiday clothing, wreaths and floral arrangements.
Entertainment will include Echo Valley, Bailey Taylor, Ambridge Area High School Steel Band and Border Ride among others.
Hours for the festival are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, rain or shine. Daily general admission tickets will be on sale at the gate. General admission for adults is $12 per day. Children 12 and under are admitted free of charge. There's no additional charge for entertainment. Bus tours are welcome and group rates are available.

The festival has acres of free parking. No pets or comfort animals are permitted on festival grounds -- only service animals. Strollers are not recommended. The festival location is 44337 County Line Road (just off state Route 7), one mile north of the intersection of state Route 14.
