Tops 1341 meeting
Tops 1341 met at the Glenmoor Presbyterian Church on Monday, Sept. 14, with Mary Gailey, facilitator, presiding.
Cheryl Myers was the best loser and Darla Varney was the runner up. They chose cookies and ice cream as the junk foods for the coming week.
The drawing winners were: 50/50, Gailey; junk food, Cathy Wollam; food chart, Dorothy Garn; weight loss, Chris Plunkett; and jackpot, Myers.
The monthly winners were: Best loser, Plunkett; runner up and food chart, Marlene Reynolds; and exercise, Garn. All members will go back on the check at the next meeting.
The previous minutes were approved as read. Wollam presented the monthly treasurer's report and it was filed for audit.
The meeting opened with pledges and closed with prayer concerns and the Lord's Prayer.

The WLC Club meeting
The WLC Club met Sept. 8 at the Living Well Church in Wellsville. Leader Mary Jarvis opened the meeting with the club pledge and roll call, and then Barb Q led the group in prayer.
The biggest losers were Betty Pease and Donna Lee. Lee also wore the officer's ribbon. The dimes will be carried over and the nono is ice cream and cake.
The Fun in the Sun contest is over and Barb Tranter was the winner, receiving a gift basket. The caterpillar winners for August were Tranter and Diane Carnegie.
Tranter won the 50/50 drawing.
The tea party will be held at the church not Casa.
Linda Servers turned in 10 weight loss slips and received a tea towel.
There are four groups for the tea party and they met for about 15 minutes to discuss how they wanted to prepare their tables.
Next week Betty Pease will give further instructions about the tea party.
Tranter read a funny then Jarvis closed the meeting wishing all a good week.
Choose to Lose Group meeting
Choose to Lose Group met at Boyce Church Sept. 15 with leader Penny Perorazio presiding.
The meeting opened up with the pledge of allegiance followed by the CTLG roll call.
Pam Fouse gave the secretary's report and Cassie Stephens gave the treasurer's report. Both were approved as read.
Carolyn Hager was the biggest loser. Jean Ferrebee and Jackie Wilson were tied for the runner up.
The no no's are cake, chocolate and white bread.
Wilson won the food journals, dimes were held over, and Perorazio won share the blessings.
Hager, Wilson, Ferrebee, Dottie Seevers and Fouse lost weight and got to Put A Turtle In The Tank.
Stephens was the winner of the No Fibbing Contest.
Perorazio shared information about How To Get Rid Of Pesky Eye Floaters.
Perorazio closed the meeting with prayer requests followed by the Lord's Prayer.

Hunston Road to close for bridge replacement
Beginning Tuesday Hunston Road in Unity Township will be closed to all traffic between Main Street and state Route 558/Bacon Avenue for 150 days for a bridge replacement. Local access will be open either side of the bridge project. Follow the posted detour route at the bridge site. BOG Construction Inc. of Berlin Center will complete the $870,030 project with Ohio Department of Transportation, Ohio Public Works Commission and local funds. Construction is expected to end Feb. 19.
Fall landscape program available at Boardman Park
OSU Extension Mahoning County, in partnership with Boardman Park and the Mahoning Valley Landscape and Nursery Association, will offer "All About the Fall Landscape" on Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 4:30 p.m. at the Georgeanna Parker Activity Center at Boardman Park. The program will provide practical information to help homeowners prepare their lawns and landscapes for the fall and winter seasons. Participants will learn essential fall lawn care practices, which trees and shrubs can be pruned in the fall, and other steps that can help keep their landscapes healthy and attractive. The cost to attend is $5. Registration is required by calling OSU Extension Mahoning County at 330-533-5538.
Lepper Library upcoming activities
The Lepper Library in Lisbon will continue its book sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today. A wide selection of adult, teen, and children's books, audios, and movies will be available. The prices are: hardbacks $1, paperbacks 50 cents, audios & DVDs $1, all children's books 25 cents and magazines are free with any purchase. To find the sale, enter the parking lot from the East Lincoln Way entrance and the sale entrance is in the garage off Vine Street.

Moving and Grooving
Tuesdays at 10 a.m.
This Storytime is geared toward babies and toddlers. Come sing songs, listen to a story, and play. Older siblings are welcome to join in also.
Preschool Story Hour
Tuesdays at 11 a.m.
Sing songs, listen to stories, and make crafts. Stay and play after the program. Geared toward children ages 3-5 but younger and older siblings are welcome.

Pond Care Program
With Guest Instructor John Beilhart IV Columbiana County SWCP
Thursday, Sept. 24th at 4 p.m.
Beilhart will be covering pond management, weed ID and treatment, aeration systems, algae prevention, fish stocking and management, and pond pest prevention. Reservations recommended.
