Pullies celebrate 60 years of marriage

WELLSVILLE - Mr. and Mrs. James (Bessie Lue) Pullie Sr. of Wellsville will celebrate 60 years of marriage Aug. 29.

Mr. Pullie married Bessie Lue Wells at Mount Saini Fire Baptized Holiness Church in Wellsville.

Mr. Pullie worked at J&L Steel Mill, retiring in 2002.

Mrs. Pullie worked as a domestic engineer for the household, retiring in 2003.

Mr. Pullie is a veteran who is a previous business owner (Mr.P's) and community organizer. Mrs. Pullie is a longtime member of Mt. Saini Fire Baptized Holiness Church, serving as deaconess, ordained minister, evangelist and Young People Institute supervisor.

The couple has three children: James Pullie Jr. (Jamie Washington) of East Liverpool, Tanya Pullie of Atlanta, Ga., and Jonathan Pullie of Stuebenville; four grandchildren: Shawntae, Brittiana, Devonte and Indiah; and six great-grandchildren: Ohana, Keshaun, Catherine, Legend, Mia and Ava.

The couple will be celebrated with a private celebration Aug. 29 hosted by the couple's children.
