East Liverpool Moose Lodge yard sale canceled
EAST LIVERPOOL -- The East Liverpool Moose Lodge indoor yard sale has canceled for this weekend. The event will be rescheduled.
Tops 1341 meeting
Tops 1341 met at the Glenmoor Presbyterian Church on Aug. 3, with Mary Gailey, facilitator, presiding. Chris Plunkett was the best loser and Cheryl Myers was the runner up. They chose no eating after supper and ice cream as the junk foods for the next week.
The drawing winners were: 50/50, Becky Andrews; food chart and junk food, Marlene Reynolds; and weight loss, Plunkett.
Myers was in the best losers book. Plunkett held the travel box for the first week. Dorothy Garn came back from vacation without a gain. All members go back on the check next week.
The monthly best losers book was Darlene Naukem. Reynolds was the runner up. Reynolds was also exercise winner and Gaily won the food chart drawing.
The secretary's report and treasurer report was accepted as written.
The meeting opened with pledges and closed with prayer requests and the Lord's Prayer.

WLC club meeting
The WLC club met on July 28 with leader Mary Jarvis opening the meeting with roll call, the club pledge, and then Barb Q led the group in prayer.
Barb Tranter was the best loser for the week and she also wore the officer's ribbon. The no-no is all potatoes. Linder Servers had 10 pounds off and will receive two weeks dues paid. Next week is the picnic at the home of Sally Workman.
Alice Evkstein won the Challenge and Tranter won the 50/50 drawing.
Jarvis reminded members to make sure the entrance door is closed all the way when entering.
Mary Schmidt reminded members about the new contest - lose half a pound to get a point and complete the assigned task to get an extra point.
August 18. is election if officers and the Christmas party will be on Dec. 8.
Tranter read a funny and then Jarvis closed the meeting wishing all a good week.
