Chester Lions Club honors longtime members with fellowship award

CHESTER - The Chester Lions Club recently recognized two longtime members, Pete Arner and Bob Milner, with the Melvin Jones Fellowship.
The Melvin Jones Fellowship honors individuals who demonstrate exceptional service within their local Lions Clubs. Named after Melvin Jones, the founder of Lions International, this award is the highest form of recognition and is a symbol of dedication, service, and commitment to improving communities around the world.
The Chester Lions Club participates in this tradition by occasionally recognizing outstanding members who have gone above and beyond in their service to the club and the community. This year, the club recognize Milner and Arner, who have demonstrated leadership, compassion and a tireless commitment to the Lions' mission of humanitarian service for many years.
In addition, Arner was also recognized by the Chester Honor Guard for his support of their group and for all veterans.
