County budget commission to meet Friday
The Columbiana County Budget Commission will hold a special meeting at 10 a.m. Friday in the auditor's conference room on the main floor of the courthouse to approve and sign amended certificates.
Wellsville Village Wide Yard Sale set for Aug. 1
The Wellsville Village Wide Yard Sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 1 (rain date Aug. 8). Permits are $3 per address and available at village hall Monday through Friday or by contacting Kari Daniels at 330-303-6394. Proceeds from the permits benefit Eyes on Wellsville.
Lisbon's Community Yard Sale kicks off today
Lisbon's first-ever Community Yard Sale kicks off today (July 23) and runs through Saturday. There are nearly 50 households participating in this inaugural event. Hard copies of the map/list are available at Village Hall (203 N. Market St.).
Banquet of Lisbon to feature picnic on Monday
New Lisbon Presbyterian Church will sponsor the Banquet of Lisbon from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday at the church. The picnic will feature hamburgers and hot dogs, baked beans, macaroni salad, watermelon, ice cream sundeas and assorted beverages. Carryouts after 6 p.m. if available.
Scouts to host Bike Safety Day in collaboration with The Columbiana County Park District
All children are invited to Bike Safety Day hosted by Cub Scout Pack 16 Saturday. The event starts at 10 a.m. with a quick summary of bike safety rules. A quick bike inspection leads into a morning of bike skills and handling, scavenger hunt, and wraps up with a cone slalom course. The location is the Leetonia Greenway Trailhead parking lot just across the railroad tracks on Washington St. The Columbiana County Park District has donated bike helmets to give away to anyone in need of a new or replacement helmet.
