Winona Strawberry Festival set for Sunday

WINONA — The Winona Strawberry Festival, sponsored by the Winona Area Historical Society, is being held on Sunday, with food service beginning at 11:30 a.m. Homemade pie, cakes and brownies, plus popular barbecued chicken halves, sandwiches and sides will also be available.
Historic displays/demonstrations will be available in the area of the 1895 Quaker Meeting House (listed on the National Register of Historic Places). Columbiana County historical society and museum representatives will be on site from: Hanover Township, Lisbon, Museum of Ceramics, Columbiana County, Damascus, Salem, Winona, Columbiana/Fairfield Township, Burchfield Homestead, Western Columbiana County, Friends of Beaver Creek, Wellsville, Teegarden vicinity, Leetonia Coke Ovens and Columbiana County Archives and Research Center.
Kiko Auctions will conduct an auction at 2 p.m. Community businesses and members have donated goods and gift certificates for bidding in this fund raiser auction. Cash and personal checks are accepted forms of payment for both food and auction sales.
The festival takes place on the WAHS grounds at the corner of Winona Road and Cameron Street (GPS: 32114 Winona Road, Hanoverton, but the festival is in Winona.) Free parking is available on property east of the meeting house; look for the signs.
