Outstanding Garden of the Month nominees

Community members are encouraged to contact the East Liverpool Calcutta Area Garden Club at 330-532-9807 with any nominations for Outstanding Garden of the Month.

WLC club meeting

The WLC club met on May 26 at the Living Well Church. Leader Mary Jarvis opened the meeting with the pledge and prayer, then Jarvis held roll call.

The biggest loser for the week was Peggy Imburgia and she also wore the officer’s ribbon. Diane Carnegie won the dime challenge and the no-no is white bread.

The club then had its planned white elephant sale which all members had a good time and went home with lots of nice purchases.

Jarvis closed the meeting wishing all a good week.

Choose to Lose Group

Choose To Lose Group met at Boyce Church on June 2 with leader Penny Perorazio presiding. The meeting opened up with the pledge of allegiance followed by CTLG roll call.

Pam Fouse gave the secretary report and Cassie Stephens gave the treasurer’s report. Both were approved as read.

Fouse was the CTLG biggest loser and six weeks weight loss. Stephens was the runner up.

Jackie Wilson has 15 pounds off.

The no no’s are salty snacks and pizza.

Tammy Heddelston won the Food Journals, dimes were held over, and Pat Heacock won Share The Blessing.

Winners of the No Fibbing Contest were Wanda Price (she was winner last week, too), Jean Ferrebee and Fouse. New numbers were drawn for the following week # 4.

Wilson, Ferrebee, Dottie Seevers, Perorazio, Stephens and Fouse got to Put A Pig In The Pen.

Karen Tice from Mary Kay cosmetics did a demonstration on Satin Hands.

Perorazio closed the meeting with prayer requests followed by the Lord’s prayer.

Tops 1341 meeting

Tops 1341 met at the Glenmoor Presbyterian Church on Monday, June 1, with Mary Gailey, facilitator, presiding. Dena White was the best loser and Dorothy Garn was the runner up. They chose pizza and ice cream as the junk foods for the coming week.

The drawing winners were: 50/50, Cassie Ensinger; food chart, Gailey; weight loss and junk food, Garn.

White lost weight three weeks in a row and now holds the travel box. Gailey was in the attendance record for 8 weeks.

The May monthly winners were: Best loser, Dena White; runner up, Lydia Kraft; and Exercise winner was Dorothy Garn.

The secretary’s report was accepted as written. Cathy Wollam read the treasurer’s report and it was filed for audit with no exception.

The second reading of the Bylaws for Chapter 1341 were read and voted as amended by the members. The member information sheet, as well as the volunteer responsibility’s/task document was updated.

The meeting opened with pledges and closed with prayer concerns/brags and the Lord’s Prayer.
