CHESTER – The Chester Garden Club held its monthly meeting May 27 at the Chester Municipal Building. President Jeanne Roberts called the meeting to order and led members in the Garden Club Prayer and The Pledge of Allegiance.

Devotions leader Donna Stevens read “Carrot, Egg and Coffee.”

Mary Ann Wright gave the treasurer’s report.

Roberts thanked Neil and Paige Rayle, Ki Trelaine, Kat Rossi and Susie Wilson for cleaning the planters along Carolina Avenue, adding fertilizer to the pots, and purchasing and planting the new flowers. Wilson distributed this year’s watering and fertilizing schedule.

Members thanked Rossi for donating two flower pots for the Richmond Garden.

Additionally plans were made to add a donated wind chime to the garden area.

Roberts thanked Stevens for providing dessert.

The next meeting will be held at the Chester Municipal Building on Wednesday, June 24, at 1 p.m. New members are always welcome to attend.
