EAST LIVERPOOL — The Riverview Cemetery Association Tuesday, held its 143rd annual meeting of the members and directors. The meeting took place at 6 p.m. in Riverview’s Grand Army of the Republic Memorial Chapel.
Reece M. Kelly, outgoing president, conducted the meeting assisted by Catherine S. Vodrey, secretary. Thirty-one members and directors were in attendance.
The RCA elected its first woman president in the 143 years since its founding. Stephanie A. Grey, a longtime member and lifelong area resident, will serve as the new RCA president. Grey manages the offices of MDH Investment Management in Calcutta. Even during World War II, when women were stepping into positions vacated by men who’d gone off to fight, the RCA president was a man (Tom Fisher).
Along with Grey, the officers elected were Jayma S. Wilson as vice-president; Catherine S. Vodrey as secretary; and Robert J. Gardner as treasurer. Vodrey had replaced her father, Jackman S. Vodrey, in 2024. Every secretary of the RCA since its inception in 1883 has been a member of the Vodrey-Kelly family, beginning with Joseph McKee Kelly.
