Columbiana County DKG installs officers

EAST LIVERPOOL — The May meeting of the Columbiana County Delta Kappa Gamma Teachers Honorary was held as a brunch at Chef Ray’s Cafe in East Liverpool.
President Barb Lipp welcomed the Alpha Iota members to the Founders’ Day Brunch. Nancy Dicken offered an inspirational reading and the prayer.
Amy Johnson’s minutes and Sharon Walker’s treasurer’s report were accepted during the business meeting.
Loretta Davidson, parliamentarian, led the installation of officers for 2026-2028: President Pam Todd, Vice President Ann Hall, Recording Secretary Amy Johnson, and Corresponding Secretary Sandy Forbes. Sharon Walker was appointed by Todd to continue her duties as chapter treasurer.
A necrology service then followed to honor the passing of longtime member Barbara Marra.
Ann Hall, scholarship chairperson, will be presenting a check for $400 to each of this year’s two Columbiana County high school seniors who will be pursuing a degree in education. Their names will be announced at their respective Awards Day ceremonies.
The next meeting will be held June 25 at 11 a.m. at the Columbiana Log Cabin. Mary Louise Dicken will provide the tour. Lunch will follow at the Belleria Restaurant.
