C. Tucker Cope & Associates Inc. of Columbiana served as the general contractor for a project honored by the Metal Building Contractors & Erectors Association (MBCEA) at it annual conference last month in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
The MBCEA announced its 2026 Building of the Year winners at the 57th Annual MBCEA Conference.
Premier Custom Paint and Collision in Zelienople, Pennsylvania received the Award of Merit for Commercial Category-Under 30,000 Square Feet. C. Tucker Cope & Associates Inc. served as general contractor for the modern automotive facility, manufactured by Chief Buildings. The project combines durability with design using insulated metal panels, expansive glazing, and a thoughtfully integrated layout that supports both high-performance operations and a refined customer experience.
“We are truly honored to accept this national award from the MBCEA (Metal Building Contractors & Erectors Association) from a very competitive field within in our industry,” company president Tucker Cope said. “We believe this recognition reflects the generational experience, knowledge and commitment that continue to guide our company each day. It is rewarding to see the hard work and dedication of our team recognized, and we are grateful for the opportunity to continue serving our clients and industry with pride.”

The 2026 competition included 36 entries across four categories–Commercial, Community, Manufacturing, and Agricultural–demonstrating the continued growth, diversity, and innovation within the metal building systems industry.
“Each year, these awards showcase the innovation, craftsmanship, and commitment to quality that define our industry,” said Sasha Demyan, executive director of MBCEA. “From complex project execution to decades of leadership and service, this year’s honorees represent the very best of MBCEA and the metal building community.”
