Catholic Charities, OSU Extension offering nutrition education program

Catholic Charities Outreach Center and the Ohio State University Extension are offering the free Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program beginning May 26. The program will be held at Catholic Charities Outreach Center, 600 E. 4th St. in East Liverpool from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m. Tuesdays through July 28. The program is designed to show how to eat healthier and be more active on a limited budget. Participants will learn how to make healthier food choices. Recipes as well as food safety skills will be taught. With each lesson participants will receive a take-home tool. Upon completion of the program, a graduation certificate will be awarded to each participant. A community meal is offered each Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Call the Catholic Charities Outreach Center at 330-385-4732 to register.

Salvation Army seeking vendors for June indoor yard sale

The Salvation Army in East Liverpool, 413 E. 4th St., will be hosting an indoor yard sale from noon to 4 p.m. June 4, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 5 and 6. Tables are available to rent for $10. Tables must be reserved by June 3. Call 330-385-2086 to reserve a spot.
