CATHOLIC CHARITIES REGIONAL AGENCY HAS A NEW NAME AND PURPOSE

Catholic Charities Regional Agency’s office located at 600 E. Fourth St. in East Liverpool, formerly known as the Catholic Charities Senior Center, has a new name and purpose. The office has been renamed the Catholic Charities Outreach Center. The focus of the center is to bring people in who need connected to programs, who may need immediate assistance for a crisis, or who need connected to resources for the homeless. A weekly community meal is being offered right now on Tuesdays, and a food pantry of non-perishables has been developed. Eligible clients will be assessed for unpaid (past due) bills for such things as housing issues, utilities or food. Casework efforts will evaluate the need and where the best course of action may lie to help the household. If another program in the community better suits the case, a referral will be facilitated. Vouchers to landlords or utility companies will be issued for payment. No cash is provided to clients. Assistance for families with small children is also available including diapers. Hours for walk-ins are Monday thru Thursday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
