EAST LIVERPOOL — East Liverpool High School will have three representatives from the Class of 2027 attend Buckeye Boys State 2026.

The selected students are Miles Reynolds, Andrew Dalton and Hunter Estell.

Buckeye Boys State, sponsored by the American Legion, is a highly competitive program that brings together high-achieving high school juniors from across the state to participate in a week-long, hands-on simulation of government. The 2026 session will take place June 14-21 at Miami University in Oxford.

During the program, students create and operate their own mock city, county, and state governments. Participants campaign for office, vote in elections, draft and pass legislation, and serve in roles such as mayor, legislator, judge, and law enforcement official. Through this immersive experience, students gain a deeper understanding of the democratic process while building essential leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills.

Starting at $2.99/week.
