Celebrate National Library Week with the Wellsville Carnegie Public Library

WELLSVILLE — The Wellsville Carnegie Public Library invites the community to join in celebrating National Library Week from April 20 through 25 with a full lineup of creative, interactive, and family-friendly events. This year’s festivities highlight the library as a vibrant hub for connection, learning, and fun.

The celebration begins on Make It Monday (April 20) with a bookmark decorating contest. Participants of all ages can design their own custom bookmarks, with supplies provided and a prize for the winning bookmark.

On TWOSday (April 21), guests are encouraged to bring a friend to the library. When you and a friend sign up for a library card or check out a book together, both of you will be entered into a drawing to win a $25 gift card.

Recycle Wednesday (April 22) celebrates Earth Day with a special eco-friendly craft, creating a rolled paper bead bracelet.

Refreshments take center stage on Thirsty Thursday (April 23) with a Library Lemonade Bar. Visitors can build their own fruity lemonade creations with syrups and fresh fruits.

The fun continues with Find It Friday (April 24), featuring a book scavenger hunt that encourages exploration of the library’s collection and spaces.

The week concludes on Saturday (April 25) with a Vendor Show and Raffle Auction. Guests can browse and shop from 10 handmade artisans and enjoy delicious offerings from Armida’s Cucina Food Truck. Support the Friends of the Library with the Raffle Auction of various gift baskets and prizes.

National Library Week is a time to recognize the important role libraries play in bringing communities together and providing access to resources, creativity, and lifelong learning. The Wellsville Carnegie Public Library welcomes everyone to participate in this week-long celebration.
