Choose To Lose Group meeting

Choose To Lose Group met at Boyce Church April 21 with leader Penny Perorazio presiding. The meeting opened up with the pledge of allegiance followed by the CTLG roll call.

Pam Fouse gave the secretary’s report and Cassie Stephens gave the treasurer’s report. Both were approved as read.

Perorazio was the CTLG biggest loser.

Perorazio won the food journals, dimes were held over, and Stephens won the Share The Blessing.

The no no is chocolate.

Winners of the No Fibbing Contest are Jean Ferrebee, Stephens, Pat Heacock, JoAnn Beresford, Wanda Price, Tammy Heddelston, Perorazio and Fouse. New numbers were drawn for the following week #2.

Carolyn Hager, Tassy Everett and Perorazio got to put A Pig In The Pen.

Hager and Perorazio had three weeks weight loss.

Everett shared information about The Value of Drinking Taheebo Tea.

There were three birthdays this month: Beresford, Heacock and Jackie Wilson. The group celebrated at JP’S Pizzeria and Grill.

Perorazio closed the meeting with Prayer requests followed by the Lord’s prayer. New and former members are always welcome.

Tops 1341

Tops 1341 met at the Glenmoor Presbyterian Church April 20, with Mary Gailey, facilitator, presiding. Marlene Reynolds was the best loser, and Gailey was the runner up. They chose potato chips and cake as the junk foods for the coming week.

The drawing winners were: 50/50, Pat Allison; food chart and junk foods, Reynolds; weight loss, Dena White; and jackpot, Darlene Naukem.

Gailey lost three weeks in a row and kept the travel box for the first week. Cathy Wollam won the check contest. All members will go back on the check next week. Darla Varney was recognized for attendance.

Gailey presented the awards for the division winners. Her program centered around the different celebrations for April 20. The group celebrated its winners: Gaily was division three winner; division four winners were Cheryl Myers, third place, Naukem, second place, and Dorothy Garn, first place. They each received a Tops certificate and potted flowers. Chris Plunkett provided the grace blessing before the luncheon and the table decorations.

Dena White presented the program last week, April 13. She opened a discussion on the healthy benefits of fiber and healthy fats in a diet.

The meeting opened with pledges and closed with prayer concerns and the Lord’s Prayer.
