A portion of South Darner Road in Elkrun Township will be closed Monday for a collapsed culvert replacement.
Calcutta Smith Ferry Road traffic control
Calcutta Smith Ferry Road between Vernon Dell Tractor and Bell School roads in Calcutta will be under traffic control during daylight hours only April 22 through 24 for subsurface soil exploration.
Choose To Lose Group meeting
Choose To Lose Group met at Boyce Church on April 14 with leader Penny Perorazio presiding. The meeting opened up with the pledge of allegiance followed by CTLG roll call.
Pam Fouse gave the secretary’s report and Cassie Stephens gave the treasurer’s report. Both were approved as read.
Jean Ferrebee was the CTLG biggest loser.
Perorazio won the Food Journals, Cassie Stephens won the dimes that were held over, and JoAnn Beresford won the Share The Blessing.
The no no is chocolate.
Winners of the No Fibbing Contest are Tammy Heddelston, Perorazio, Wanda Price and Fouse.
Jackie Wilson, Ferrebee, Beresford, Tassy Everett, Tammy Heddelston, Carolyn Hager, Stephens and Fouse got to Put A Pig In The Pen.
Hager read an article on Ticks and the Lyme Disease Vaccine.
Perorazio closed the meeting with Prayer requests followed by the Lord’s prayer. New and former members are always welcome. For more information call 330-383-8217.
Tops 1341
Tops 1341 met at the Glenmoor Presbyterian church April 13 with Mary Gailey, facilitator, presiding. Pat Allison was best loser and Lydia Kraft was runner up. They chose candy and no eating after dinner as the junk foods for the coming week.
The drawing winners were: weight loss and 50/50. Cathy Wollam; food chart, Gailey; junk food, Kraft. Wollam also won the travel box by losing 4 weeks in a row. Gailey now holds the travel box. Two members remain on the check.
The Loser Lotto and the Hare/Tortoise contests continue. The divisional winners recognition will be held at the next meeting.
The meeting opened with pledges and closed with prayer concerns and the Lord’s Prayer.
