Wellsville mayor issues warning
Mayor Bob Boley is asking residents to stay clear of walking within the blocked areas of Main Street, along with the blocked off section behind the building in Shingler Alley due to the building conditions.
Basic Life Support class
The Hancock County Health Department in New Cumberland is offering a Basic Life Support class from 9 a.m. to noon April 9. Cost is $25. Register at 304-564-3343.
Tops 1341
Tops 1341 met at the Glenmoor Presbyterian Church on Monday, March 23, with Marlene Reynolds, co-facilitator, presiding. Dena White was the best loser and Cindy Hays was the runner up. They chose donuts and deep fried foods as the junk food for the coming week.
The drawing winners were: 50/50, Cathy Wollam; food chart, Hays; weight loss, Christine Plunkett; and junk food, Dorothy Garn.
Wollam retained the travel box for the first week. All members went back on the check at this meeting.
Darlene Naukem presented a guessing game related to Tops organization goals. The winners were presented fruits/vegetables, as prizes.
Naukem and Plunkett gave a presentation on the new contest, Tortoise and Hare, which is to begin on April 6.
The meeting opened with pledges and ended with prayer concerns and the Lord’s Prayer.

WLC Club meeting
The WLC Club met on March 10 at the Living Well Church and Leader Mary Jarvis opened the meeting with the pledge and role call. Connie Hissam led the group in prayer.
Donna Lee was the best loser and she also wore the officer’s ribbon.
The inchworm for February was Betty Pease.
The nono was all sweets.
The dimes will be carried over.
Autum Carnegie was welcomed as a new member. Linds Seevers won the 50/50 drawing.
Seevers and Barb Tranter had three weeks with weight loss.
Members are requested to wear green next week for St. Patrick’s Day to receive an egg for the contest.
Also members are to keep a chart and to lose half a pound.
Lee gave the treasurer’s report and Brenda Young read the minutes. Both were approved as read.
Tranter read a funny then Jarvis closed the meeting wishing all a good week.
7 Last Words program
Second Baptist Church, 1091 Pennsylvania Ave., East Liverpool will present its 7 Last Words program hosted by Pastor Ernest Peachey at 6 p.m. Friday, April 3. The program will feature pastors Leonard Matthews, Kenny Stull, Derrick Kendall, Rudy McAllister, Frank Perkins, Glenn Collins and Jay Radman.
