COLUMBUS — State Rep. Monica Robb Blasdel (R-New Waterford) has been named Conservation Legislator of the Year by the Columbiana County Federation of Conservation Clubs.
The award is presented annually to individuals who demonstrate exceptional dedication to protecting natural resources, supporting conservation efforts, and preserving Ohio’s outdoor traditions for future generations.
“I learned at a young age, watching my dad, that being a ‘sportsman’ is more than just the harvest or the catch. It’s about ensuring that the wild places we love today are even healthier and more vibrant for the next generation. It’s about bringing like-minded people together to make memories, share stories, and shape future generations by teaching safety, skills, and methods for hunting, shooting, trapping, and fishing,” said Blasdel. “We are the boots on the ground, and I’m proud to stand with all of you in that mission. To be singled out among this group is incredibly humbling.”
The Columbiana County Federation of Conservation Clubs is dedicated to the preservation, protection, and responsible use of natural resources while promoting education, safety, and outdoor heritage for future generations.
