East Liverpool robotics teams qualify for state competition

EAST LIVERPOOL -- East Liverpool City Schools' robotics teams performed at the Columbiana County Finals Competition, earning a total of 10 awards and qualifying three teams for the state competition.

The district's "Potterbots" brought home multiple first-place finishes and specialty awards.

Award Winners included: 1st Place and Amaze Award, Team 43920C - The Wacky Potters, Beau Cowan, Michael Gandy, Rhylon Pullie; 1st Place and Innovate Award, Team 43920F - The Gremlins, Liam Hissom, Dom Bryan, Niko Montero, Calvin Brewer; 2nd Place and Sportsmanship Award, Team 43920K - The Cyberbots, Doz Colon, Liam Gulutz, Mason Kinsey, Knox Ludwig; Excellence Award and Skills Champion, Team 43920E - The Chubby Racoons, Brady Fennell, Brooklynn Sluss, Cole Deshler, Allex Potts; Judges Award, Team 43920H - The Amazing Mangos, Zoe Galanis, Ella Barlett, Grady Wright, Kassidy Copeland, Jace Kinsey; Create Award, Team 43920G - The Sour Patch Kids, Makiah Striker, Cambrie Foster, Marley Thompkins.

The following teams advanced to the state competition:

- Team 43920F - The Gremlins

- Team 43920C - The Wacky Potters

- Team 43920E - The Chubby Racoons

The Potterbots program provides students with hands-on STEM experiences in engineering, coding, and robotics design, helping prepare them for future academic and career opportunities in high-demand technical fields.
