East Liverpool High School Scholar of the Month

East Liverpool High School has named Lana Le, a member of the Class of 2026, the ELHS Scholar of the Month for January 2026.

Lana is the daughter of Jeremy and Alicia Brewer and maintains a 3.5 GPA while completing a rigorous academic schedule that includes Honors and Advanced Placement coursework. She is currently enrolled in the Career Tech Cosmetology program and is a member of the National Technical Honor Society.

Lana was nominated by Erica Lewis, Anatomy II teacher, who has watched her grow academically and personally since her freshman year. Lewis noted that Lana consistently works hard in all of her classes, uses her time effectively to complete assignments and prepare for exams, and demonstrates strong drive and determination. Lana’s excitement for her future in nursing is evident daily in her anatomy coursework.

In addition to her academic success, Lana is known for her kindness and commitment to helping others. She volunteers at Alpha Care Day Center, assisting clients in preparing for Night to Shine, an event founded by Tim Tebow.

A dedicated student-athlete, Lana has participated in multiple sports throughout her high school career. She is a four-year varsity tennis letterman, attending sectionals for three years and earning a sectional championship her senior year. Lana is also a four-year member of the softball team and three-year letterman, a one-year varsity swimmer, and a senior-year cheerleader, earning a varsity letter. Her athletic honors include Second Team All-State in tennis her freshman year, multiple sectional and district qualifications, the Coach’s Award, Highest Scorer Award, Most Improved Award (softball), and Rookie of the Year (cheer). She has also been recognized for maintaining at least a 3.0 GPA during her athletic seasons.

Lana is actively involved in Booster Club, Outdoor Adventure Club, Culture Club, and French Club, which included traveling to Paris during her junior year.

After graduation, Lana plans to attend Youngstown State University to pursue a degree in Nursing, with the goal of becoming a medical esthetician.
