Brody Vulgamore named East Liverpool High School December Scholar of the Month

EAST LIVERPOOL — East Liverpool High School recognizes Brody Vulgamore, Class of 2026, as its December Scholar of the Month. Brody is the son of Andrew and Dana Vulgamore and exemplifies excellence in academics, athletics, leadership, the arts, and community service.
Brody currently serves as president of the Class of 2026 and is an active member of Longs Run Trinity Presbyterian Church. A gifted performer, he is a member of Thespian Troupe 319, appearing in several productions, and serves as Vice President of the Choir as part of the Potter Blues Show Choir.
Academically, Brody is a standout student, serving as president of both the National Honor Society and the National Technical Honor Society. He participates in the Outdoor Adventure Club, Culture Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the Booster Club. In his junior year, he was selected as a delegate to Buckeye Boys State, a distinction honoring leadership and civic engagement.
Brody’s athletic achievements span multiple sports. He has competed in varsity soccer (two years), varsity golf (two years), and varsity cross country (four years), where he is a two-time regional qualifier and state qualifier. As a four-year member of the varsity swim team, he is a two-time district qualifier. On the track, Brody has earned two state qualifier titles, placed third in the state in the 4×800 relay, and is a national qualifier. He is also part of the school-record and regional-record holding 4×800 relay team.
Brody maintains a 4.0 grade point average and is currently first in his class academically.
“Brody is an exceptional young man whose work ethic, leadership, and character set the tone for what it means to be a Potter,” said ELHS Principal Bryian Burson. “He excels in the classroom, on the stage, and across multiple athletic programs, all while uplifting his peers and serving as a positive role model in our school community. We are incredibly proud of his accomplishments and excited to see all he will achieve in the future.”
After graduation, Brody plans to attend Kent State University, where he will major in Criminal Justice.
