Honoring area service members

Wellsville Local Schools will once again honor area service members with its annual Veterans Day event at the Wellsville Junior/Senior High School. The ceremony will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 11, beginning at 9 a.m.

The program is being organized by Emilee Wilson, who has coordinated two guest speakers for this year’s event: Columbiana County Prosecutor Vito Abruzzino, U.S. Air Force J.A.G. Corps, and David Hull, Sergeant First Class (E7) with the Ohio National Guard.

Musical performances will be presented by several student groups, including the High School Choirs performing The Star-Spangled Banner, second-grade music students performing This Is My Country, and the fifth- and sixth-grade choir performing You’re a Grand Old Flag.

A brunch for veterans will follow the program, along with a benediction delivered by Pastor Mark Blakeley.
