East Liverpool HS hosting annual College and Career Fair on Thursday
EAST LIVERPOOL– East Liverpool High School will host its annual College and Career Fair on Thursday at the Potter Field House.
The event will welcome more than 60 colleges, universities, employers, military branches, and East Liverpool Career Technical Education (CTE) programs for a full day of exploration and opportunity.
The College and Career Fair provides East Liverpool juniors and seniors–and visiting students from neighboring districts–with valuable one-on-one connections with college admissions representatives, recruiters, and employers from across Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. Several colleges will accept applications and resumes on site. Some institutions will even waive application fees for students attending the fair.
“Events like this are essential to helping our students visualize their next steps,” said Jonathan Ludwig, Superintendent of East Liverpool City Schools. “Whether they plan to pursue higher education, enter the workforce, or serve in the military, this fair connects them with real people who can help make those goals a reality.”
This year’s participant list features institutions such as Kent State University, Youngstown State University, Franciscan University of Steubenville, PennWest University, Walsh University, and the University of Mount Union plus community colleges, trade schools, and employers including East Liverpool City Hospital, The Ohio State Highway Patrol, D.W. Dickey, Hilltop Energy, and Advanced Security Technologies.
Representatives from all five military branches–the U.S. Army, Army National Guard, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Air Force Reserves–will also be present, along with local career tech programs showcasing East Liverpool’s own CTE pathways in health, engineering, early childhood education, multimedia arts, construction, and public safety.
