Anniversary celebration

Rev. Dr. Roylin Petties III, Senior Pastor of First Baptist Wellsville, will be honored on his third pastoral anniversary on Sunday, October 12, 2025. The celebration will begin at 11 a.m. with Min. Daniel Winston delivering the message, and music provided by the First Baptist Choir. The day will conclude with a 3 p.m. worship service with Elder Derrick Kendall III, Senior Pastor of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, giving the sermon. His congregation will accompany him and will provide ministry through song.
Pastor Petties has been married to his wife, Maria, for 17 years. They have a daughter, Alana, and a grandson, Jhaki. The pastor earned his Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Slippery Rock University then went on to complete a Master of Education in Educational Leadership at Edinboro University, followed by his K-12 Principal Certification. Culminating his academic pursuits, he earned his Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration with a concentration in Educational Leadership from Liberty University.
