Delays on US Route 30

ODOT is informing drivers to expect delays on U.S. Route 30 in East Liverpool Wednesday-through-Friday.

The delays on U.S. Route 30 will be at the state Route 7 interchange between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. This is due to the installation of overhead beams on the 9th Street bridge.

There will be rolling roadblocks and intermittent traffic stoppages lasting up to 15 minutes — affecting U.S. Route 30/SR 39 through this area. Additionally, the ramps to and from SR 7 at the interchange will close intermittently as part of this work.

Law enforcement will periodically slow traffic to a rolling stop in advance of the interchange and bridge during the specified timeframe from Aug. 6-8.

The overall completion date for the project is Oct. 31.

CASA seeking volunteers

The CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Columbiana County program is seeking dedicated volunteers to serve as advocates for children involved in the juvenile court system. Yellow Creek Presbyterian Church on state Route 45 in Wellsville will host a baked steak dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Aug. 13.
