East Liverpool Masonic Lodge
sponsoring fall festival
The East Liverpool Masonic Lodge, 422 Broadway St, is sponsoring a fall festival from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Oct. 25.
The festival will feature vendors, crafters, and book signings by local authors. Tables can be reserved for $25 each by calling Pat Hall at 330-385-6917. Donuts and lunch items will be availabe for sale and a Chinese auction will be held.
Proceeds from the festival will be used to complete air conditioner updates on the lodge building.
Choose To Lose Group
Choose To Lose Group met at Boyce Church on July 29 with leader Penny Perorazio presiding. The meeting opened up with the pledge of allegiance followed by the CTLG roll call, Pam Fouse gave the secretary report and Cassie Stephens gave the treasure report. Both were approved as read.
Pam Fouse was the Pearl’s biggest loser. Penny Perorazio was the officer biggest loser. Diamonds in leeway are Jean Ferrebee, Dottie Seevers, and JoAnn Beresford.
It was a No Gainer Week!
Perorazio won the calorie charts, Stephens won the dimes, JoAnn Beresford won the Share The Blessing.
The no no’s are white bread and no late night eating.
Cassie Stephens, Carolyn Hager, Penny Perorazio, and Pam Fouse got to Put A Pig In The Pen.
Winners of the No Fibbing Contest are Jean Ferrebee, JoAnn Beresford, Perorazio, Stephens, and Fouse. New numbers were drawn for the following week # 1.
Perorazio read a message, Having Faith by Joyce Meyers. Perorazio closed the meeting with prayer requests followed by the Lord’s Prayer. New and former members are always welcome.

‘Village Comes Alive’
EAST LIVERPOOL –This month’s “Village Comes Alive” from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Beaver Creek State Park will feature the popular annual cookbook tasting event.
The cookbook was published by the Friends of Beaver Creek State Park as a fundraiser for the monies needed to maintain, operate and improve Pioneer Village. Each year the members of the group prepare samples of many of the recipes contained in the book for the visiting public to taste. There is a wide variety of soups, salads, main courses, side dishes, entrees, desserts and more. There is no fee for tasting the samples. The cookbook itself will be available for purchase for $10.
All the historic buildings in Pioneer Village will be open and manned on Saturday. Everyone is invited to come see grain being stone ground in Gaston’s Mill as well as demonstrations in the blacksmith shop, quilting demonstrations, children’s activities in the schoolhouse and more. The trading post will also be available for the purchases. There is no admission charge for entrance to Pioneer Village.
