Disability Indepence Week 5K

Help kick-off Weirton’s 2nd annual Disability Independence Week by participating in the Run the Distance Embrace the Difference 5K run/walk/roll July 19. It begins with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. at the Northern Panhandle Trail in Weirton. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m.; General (June 10-July 18) is $35 and Race Day (July 19) is $40; timing provided by GOXC Race Timing & Management. Parking will be at Weirton Municipal Plaza with transportation by Weirton Transit Shuttle. Everyone is welcome to join in by playing free games to win prizes while cheering on the participants at the finish line. All ages and abilities are welcome.
