On Oct. 24 the East Liverpool Rotary Club participated in the Purple Pinkie Project in connection with World Polio Day. The club stopped by several local establishments and delivered purple pinkie cream stick donuts in order to bring awareness to the End Polio Now campaign. In other countries where the threat of polio remains, children still receive their polio vaccine by mouth. The child’s pinkie finger is marked with an indelible purple ink after receiving the vaccine to ensure they only receive one dose. The donuts are meant to represent the purple pinkie. The club thanked L&B Donuts and Catering for their help with the project and making the donuts.

Starting at $2.99/week.
