Second Baptist BBQ dinners
Second Baptist Church, 1091 Pennsylvania Ave., East Liverpool, will be selling BBQ dinners from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday. Dinners include a choice of BBQ ribs or chicken, green beans, mac and cheese, bread and dessert.
Oak Glen HS 50-year reunion
Oak Glen High School Class of 1974 50th Class Reunion is being held July 6 at the Elks Lodge at 620 Broadway St., East Liverpool. The social hour will begin at 5 p.m. with dinner following at 6 p.m. The fee will be $35 per person. RSVP with payment by June 1. East Liverpool birdhouse building
The East Liverpool Rotary Club is hosting a free birdhouse building workshop Saturday for children ages 6 to 10 years old at the East Liverpool Area Community and Learning Center. There are two sessions: the first session is 12:30 to 2 p.m. and the second is 2:30 to 4 p.m. Children will be given the opportunity to build and decorate their own birdhouse from pre-cut materials. An adult is asked to accompany each child. Sign up is preferred by calling the community center at 330-303-2110. All materials will be provided by Rotary.
ELHSAA Spring Basement Sale
The East Liverpool High School Alumni Association will hold its Spring Basement Sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Enter down the right side of the ELHSAA Clock Tower, between it and the former Review building.
Choose To Lose
Choose To Lose Group met at Boyce Church on April 30 with leader Penny Perorazio presiding.
The meeting opened up with the pledge of allegiance followed by the CTLG roll call. Fouse gave the secretary report and Cassie Stephens gave the treasure report. Both were approved as read.
Penny Perorazio was the Pearl's biggest loser. Cassie Stephens was the Diamonds biggest loser and also the officer biggest loser. Diamonds in leeway are Dottie Seevers, Jean Ferrebee, and Stephens. The no no's are salty snacks and no eating after 7 p.m.
Stephens won the calorie charts, Fouse won the dimes, and Tammy Heddelston won the 50/50.
Fouse read an article on Magnesium.
Winners of the No Fibbing Contest are Wanda Price and Stephens. New numbers were drawn for the following week # 10.
We celebrated the birthday of Pearl's Pat Heacock and Diamond's JoAnn Beresford with a birthday luncheon.
Leader Perorazio closed the meeting with prayer requests followed by the Lord's Prayer. New and former members are always welcome on Tuesdays. For more information call 330-383-8217.
