NEW CUMBERLAND - The regular meeting of the Hancock County Association of Retired School Employees was held at the New Cumberland Immaculate Conception Catholic Church March 19, with 46 members and one guest in attendance.
President Debra Marino called the meeting to order. Marino extended a welcome with concerns and best wishes voiced.
Marino led the mission, an inspirational limerick, and the Pledge of Allegiance.
Secretary Liz Pugh read the minutes of the November meeting, which the group approved.
Acting Treasurer Debra Marino gave the financial report and reminded Vice President Earlean Jones would present the new budget in April.
Community Service Chairman Mishel Robinson announced that Energy Express will be the next monthly project. Rita Orler will be collecting monthly volunteer hours in April.
Under new business, members for the June WVARS Convention in Charleston will be selected at the next meeting.
Program activities included a raffle, limerick contests, bingo games, and several door prizes.
The April 16 meeting will be held at noon at St. Thomas Episcopal Church of Weirton, West Virginia. All retired Hancock County School Employees are invited to attend this April meeting.
