The Calcutta Lions Club met for its regular meeting Tuesday at the Peter Metrovich Community Center. Twelve Lions were in attendance. Vice President Wayne Christen called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Lion and Chaplain Marianne Wolf led the invocation. The Pledge of Allegiance was said by all.
The minutes and treasurer's reports were accepted as submitted.
Lion Gary reported the next bingo at Crossroads will be April 26 at 2 p.m.
Lion Gary stated the recent blood drive went well collecting 20 units of blood. Next drive is May 28.
The club will be holding a pasta dinner fundraiser at the Calcutta Fire Department May 5 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets are $12.
The highway clean-up will commence May 4 at 10 a.m. at the 7 & 11 park-n-ride.
Beaver Creek clean-up will also commence on Saturday, April 27 at 9 a.m.
Hot dog sales are set at Busy Beaver for June 1 and June 8.
The club will be participating in the Memorial Day festivities at Calcutta Square. Raffle tickets will be sold before and during the event for a Trex Bench, bucket of lawn tools, bird feeder and hanging basket.
The 50/50 was won by Lion Janet.
