Wellsville Day of Prayer
The Wellsville Area Ministerial Association along with others will gather at the flood walls in Wellsville Thursday at 9:30 a.m. to observe the National Day of Prayer. The 2024 theme: "LIFT UP THE WORD – LIGHT UP THE WORLD." The National Day of Prayer observance was enacted 72 years ago and is celebrated the first Thursday of every May. All are welcome to attend.
Calcutta Y Healthy Kids Day
The Calcutta YMCA is hosting the Y's annual Healthy Kids Day May 4 from 10 a.m. to 1p.m. This free, annual event features a variety of family friendly activities to encourage healthy kids, healthy families and a healthy start to the summer season. Sponsored nationally by Peanuts, Healthy Kids Day's mission is to turn fun and play into lifelong memories. CVFD Station 10 5K
Calcutta Volunteer Fire Department Station 10 will host the Station 10 5K and Walk May 26. Race start time is 10 a.m. Entry fee for 5K run and walk is $25 through May 13. The fee will increase after that. The race will kick off the St. Clair Township Memorial Day Festival. Registration can be done online at Calcutta Volunteer Fire Department Facebook page.
Salem vintage motorcycles
On May 11 from 1 to 4 p.m., Salem Historical Society will be hosting a special attraction during Second Saturdays Blessing of the Bikes. SHS will be hosting a vintage and custom motorcycle showcase, featuring custom motorcycles showcased by Vulture Customs. Skeeter's Graphix will be live painting a bike part, inspired by Salem's History and SHS will auction the part in a silent auction to benefit SHS programming. SHS is calling to all local vintage motorcycle owners to show off their bikes for a chance to win two free tickets to Salem Historical Society Museums and bragging rights to Salem's Best Vintage Bike. There will be vendors from the motorcycle industry in the adjoining lot and a historic presentation on the history of motorcycles will be given in the meeting room.
