Mona McArtor Scholarship
Beaver Local, Lisbon, Louisville, Salem, Sebring and West Branch are among area school districts where high school students are eligible to apply for the annual Mona McArtor Scholarship given out by Quota Club of Salem. The $500 college scholarship is awarded to high school seniors pursuing a career in the speech/audiology and deaf education fields. To receive an application contact Susan Jackson at 330-257-5420.
Seeking artist for Tiny Art Show
East Liverpool Carnegie Public Library is seeking artist for its third annual Tiny Art Show. Register to receive a mini art kit and create a masterpiece. The kit includes a mini canvas (4-inch by 4-inch), paint brush and paint. Or, artists can your their own 4-inch by 4-inch canvas and paint. When completed, return it to the library by May 25 to be part of the show. Open to patrons 13 years and older. Art will be displayed in June. As a prompt: this year's Summer Reading theme is Adventure Begins at Your Library; following the theme is not required.
