Rev. Ian Leyda and the congregation of Long's Run Trinity Presbyterian Church welcomed members of Scout Troop 2012B and Scout Troop 2012G and their leaders to celebrate Scout Sunday. Several Scouts along with Scout Master Eber Grimes, a member of the church, participated in the worship service. Boy Scout Troop 12 was initiated in 1911, just a year following the founding of Boy Scouts of America, and was sponsored by First Presbyterian Church of East Liverpool, which became Trinity Presbyterian. When Trinity merged with Long's Run Presbyterian in January 2018, the new church, Long's Run Trinity, continued the sponsorship Troop 12, which now includes eight adults, 23 Scouts and a full girls unit. The Scouts are a welcome and familiar presence at the church, assisting the congregation whenever called upon. The congregation is especially proud of the number of Eagle Scouts which come from Troop 12. (Submitted photo)
