2 min read

MINERVA - Minerva's Roxy Theatre will host Deuce 'n a Quarter blues band, Saturday, Feb. 17, 7:30 p.m., and Ghost Town Blues Band, Saturday, Feb. 24, 7:30 p.m.

Award-winning Deuce 'n a Quarter pairs originals with classic American blues and was a finalist in the 2023 International Blues Challenge, with band member Brian Peters receiving the Lee Oskar Best Harmonica Player Award.

Maple Blues and Tennessee Award Winner Ghost Town Blues Band has been described by Living Blues Magazine as having a "shoot-from-the-hip Memphis attitude and a STAX-busting explosion of modern blues vision." Their 2019 album "Shine" reached number one on the Billboard blues chart.

Tickets are $25 each or $35 for both shows, and can be purchased at the Minerva Chamber office, 203 N. Market St., or online at minervachamber.ticketleap.com/deuce/ or minervachamber.ticketleap.com/ghosttown/.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. The Roxy Theatre is located at 114 N. Market St. and is handicap accessible.

Downtown restaurants will be open throughout the evening, and concessions will be available at the theater. The village's Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area will be in effect, 5 to 10 p.m. Patrons may purchase beverages in official DORA cups from the Normandy Inn, Stoney Inn, Que Pasa Mexican Restaurant, and Sandy Springs Brewing Company and carry them throughout the designated area, including into the Roxy.
