Michael Hoffee named CCCTC December student of the month

LISBON - Michael Hoffee is the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center's December Student of the Month.
Michael is a senior from United Local High School and is enrolled in the Landscape and Environmental Design Program under the instruction of John Garwood.
Michael is a member of the FFA and Columbiana County Junior Fair Board. At United Local, he is a member of the bowling team. In addition, Michael is a beekeeper and is using this experience for his senior capstone project. He is part of the workplace learning program at the CCCTC and has worked at the Salem Giant Eagle in the produce department for the last year.
Michael earned his Ohio Nursery Technician 12-point credential, Fork Lift certification, and 10 hr. OSHA training. In the future, Michael would like to obtain employment where he will use heavy equipment with a goal of saving money to build his own home.
Michael stated "Attending the CCCTC was a good choice for me because it taught me how to work hard and strive to reach my goals, and it helped me meet some lifelong friends."
Michael was nominated by Garwood who stated, "I nominated Michael because of his stellar people skills, his drive to succeed, and his dedication to make it happen. He has a great work ethic and employability skills. He inspires those around him to realize that it is a lot easier to go through life with a positive attitude. Michael is a pleasure to be around and to have in the LED program."
Michael is the son of Michelle May and Paul Hoffee.
