CCRTA hosts STRS official

LISBON -- The Columbiana County Retired Teachers Association met for their final meeting of 2023 at the Lisbon First United Methodist Church. The meeting was conducted by the CCRTA Board. Nancy Dicken welcomed all, led the pledge and took attendance.

Rosemary Bruehler offered the treasurer's report and the minutes were provided by Loretta Davidson.

The Membership Committee was expanded to include Jerry Barnes, Sherry Seachrist and Karen Moore.

The program was provided by Tamla Cole, assistant director of Group Education at STRS Ohio, who provided an overview of pension and healthcare benefits. All prescriptions through Express Scripts will be automatically transferred to CVS Pharmacy, as the benefit manager. Members can continue to use Walmart and Rite Aid. However, in December, members must set up an online account to pay for scripts through Silver Scripts to add Part D.

Sharon Walker was the winner of the 50/50. Lisa Wycoff and Seachrist won the free s for the next meeting.
