Today I would like to talk to you about unanswered prayers. Sometimes we pray, and it does not seem to make a difference. There are many reasons why this could be, so let's explore them today. Number one, How Close is your relationship with God.? In the Bible Jesus taught, He is the bride groom, and we are the bride. This tells us that God needs to be the the head of our household. That means we go to him with our love, gratitude, and problems. Many of us have quit going to church and we still use the excuse of COVID-19. When we die and stand face to face this will never fly as an excuse. Revelations tells us Christ well look to see if our name is written in the lamb's book of life and reward us for our deeds good or bad. If our prayers are not being answered, it might be because we treat God like a stranger instead of our creator. We call upon God only when we want to be healed or need a favor and if we do not get immediate results, we are mad and pout like a little child that we are. If I never talked to my father when I was a child, I would have never had a relationship with him. It is the same way with God improve your relationship. Second if you have full blown sin in your life, we become children of the devil not of God. Jesus said in Saint John 8:44 that those that were following him only for food, that their father was the devil, and they were carrying out the his desires. When we are working for the wrong side why would God answer our prayers? Let us learn a lesson from the 10 in the bible. Five were lost and five virgins finally woke up trimmed their lamp and filled it full of oil. The oil represented the Holy Spirit, the light represented the light of salvation in their hearts. We are more worried about a sick dog, a hangnail, a stubbed toe, than we are about our family going to hell. I proclaim to the church wake up. Go to your pastor and ask them to deliver some messages on heaven and hell. They might not be able to do this because too many pastors and priest use lectionary pre-arranged sermons that have little to no teeth in their message. Third reason: Can you honestly tell me that you can hear the voice of God when he speaks to you. We have a thing that is called a conscience when is the last time you've heard a pastor talk about your conscience. Again, in the last days the Bible says our conscience would be seared. I think it's even beyond that I think it had been removed in some people.
Let me tell you how to get prayers answered. First review the three steps above: start a relationship with God, then confess of any sins to Jesus that might be in between you and him, then allow Holy Spirt talk to your conscience. After that take two or three of your friends pray and fast some time by going into a quiet place, turn off your cell phone, search and cry out like Jesus did before God and even though the outcome of Jesus dying on the cross did not change he receives strength from an Angel to help him through the battle that he had to do for each and every one of us to be saved. His suffering was our answered prayer. Through his dying on the cross and shedding of his blood and the resurrection he has made it possible for each and every one of us to go to heaven if we so wish. 2 Peter 3:9. God just don't answer prayers because we think he's a magic genie, but he gives us what we need not what we think we deserve! He's not here to make us fat happy greedy rich but to deliver us from the lifestyle and habitual sins that impend us from going to heaven. If you want your prayers answer, make sure you have no sin in your life, get close downright personal in your relationship with God, be faithful in your church attendance and Bible reading, let him know how much you love him! I guarantee that he will hear your prayers, it will be yes, no or wait but remember he is the bridegroom we are the bride he knows what is best for each and every one of us pray hard God will hear you.
