The Alpha Tau chapter members make T-shirts at November’s meeting

NEW CUMBERLAND - The Alpha Tau chapter (WV) of Alpha Delta Kappa, International Honorary Organization for Women Educators held its November meeting at the Swaney Memorial Library. President Amy Hannahs called the meeting to order.

The Thought for the Day, a reading from A Teacher's Heart, was given by Chaplain Kathy Griffith.

Roll call was taken by Velda Icard, secretary, and minutes of the October meeting were approved as distributed. Treasurer Angela Cunningham gave the financial report. A report on the Ohio Valley District meeting was given. Ways and Means chairman Fran Jones discussed the scholarship fundraiser.

Information was provided for the upcoming tri-chapter Christmas brunch with Alpha Kappa and Fidelis Gamma which will be held at Scaffidi's in December.

Hannahs read correspondence from International seeking input from chapters on voting preferences for the upcoming regional conferences.

The members enjoyed a hands-on activity of creating T-shirts containing Alpha Delta Kappa images which was led by Michelle McHaffie and Mary Lou Martindill.
