MIDLAND, Pa. - Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center will complete the first half of its 2023- 2024 Clearview Federal Credit Union Subscription Series with a roundup of festive holiday offerings.
- "The Games Afoot: Holmes for the Holidays" will be presented Dec. 1-3, 7-10, 14-17 in the BlackBox Theater. Actor William Gillette, adored for his leading role in the play Sherlock Holmes, has invited his fellow cast members to his castle for a weekend of Christmas revelry. But when one of the guests is murdered, the festivities quickly take a dangerous turn. The danger and hilarity are non-stop in this glittering whodunit set during the Christmas holidays.
- "Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker" will be presented Dec. 14-17 in MainStage Theater. First performed in 1892, The Nutcracker is a timeless Christmas Eve ballet that continues to sweep audiences into the magic and beauty of the holiday season. This newly staged adaptation of Tchaikovsky's captivating masterpiece is Lincoln Park's longest-running holiday tradition.
- "Holiday Brasstacular with River City Brass" will be presented Dec. 22 in the MainStage Theater. The final event of the holidays, River City Brass will enchant audiences with popular holiday songs such as "The Little Drummer Boy" and "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch," plus everyone's favorite carols.
The holiday fun goes beyond the stage. Lincoln Park will offer specialty hot chocolate and cookies, a sleigh photo area, merchandise that is perfect for gifts, a kid's activities table, and of course their signature 30-foot Christmas tree.
